Maintenance, installation, and best practices

• Replace all impellers at least once every year, or sooner depending on engine duty.
• When installation is correct, an impeller may last for several years, but follow a preventative maintenance schedule for best results.
• Removing the impeller: remove the end cover screws, then use a Jabsco Impeller Removal Tool or channel-lock pliers to grip the hub. Do not use screwdrivers, which can damage the pump face and create leaks or pose safety risks in confined spaces.
• Always carry spare impellers on board for emergencies.
• Grease new impellers before installation to ease fitment and provide added protection during initial prime.
