Sikaflex®-292 White – 10oz Tube with Nozzle is a non-sag, 1-component polyurethane adhesive designed for demanding structural bonds. Its thixotropic, paste-like consistency stays in place, yet cures reliably when exposed to atmospheric moisture, delivering strong, lasting joints in challenging environments.

  • Non-sag formulation with excellent gap-filling properties for precise, tidy bonds even on vertical surfaces.
  • Paintable and compatible with various coatings, allowing seamless finishes after curing.
  • Wide substrate compatibility—bonds well to metals (especially aluminum, including anodized finishes), metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems), ceramics, and plastics such as GRP and ABS.
  • WheelMark approved and solvent-free with very low VOC formulation for safer, cleaner applications.
  • 10 oz tube with nozzle for convenient, controlled dispensing and long-life use.

Areas of application

Sikaflex®-292 is suitable for structural joints in marine constructions that endure high dynamic stresses. It is ideal for bonding a wide range of materials while offering durable elasticity and resilience. For best results, consult the manufacturer’s recommendations and perform tests on original substrates, as this product is intended for experienced professional users in demanding applications.

Surface preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, and dust. Surface treatment depends on substrate type and is crucial for a long-lasting bond. Refer to the current Sika pre-treatment guidelines for substrate-specific recommendations and verify compatibility with actual substrates before use.

Application and work conditions

Sikaflex®-292 can be processed between 10 °C and 40 °C. For best performance, the optimum substrate and sealant temperature is between 15 °C and 25 °C, noting that viscosity increases at lower temperatures. To ease application, condition the adhesive at ambient temperature prior to use.

Tooling, finishing, and removal

Tooling and finishing must be completed within the sealant’s skin time. It is recommended to use Sika® Tooling Agent N; test other finishing agents for compatibility before use. Uncured Sikaflex®-292 can be removed from tools with Sika® Remover-208 or a suitable solvent. Once cured, removal is mechanical. For skin exposure, wash immediately with Sika® Cleaner-350H towels or an appropriate industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on the skin.

Note: This domestically produced Sikaflex®-292 is not IMO certified. Manufacturer: Sika (Part No. 696275).
